Different communication schemes. 

The system is divided into three parts: data acquisition layer, cloud data center, and application platform.

Data acquisition layer: including data acquisition equipment and smart water meters, a total of three specific acquisition schemes are suitable for different on-site environments.

Cloud data center: Complete functions such as communication, setting and control with equipment and smart water meters.

Application platform: manage the collected data according to the customer's business, analyze and count the data and display the data, and reserve the interface of other application software, such as the interface of the business charging software.


Collection plan

Generally speaking, the intelligent meter reading scheme consists of three parts: intelligent water meter, acquisition equipment, and field engineering. Among them, equipment debugging and field engineering are complicated. The collection scheme of the Internet of Things is based on the base station network communication technology of GPRS or NB-IOT, and considers the application environment of water affairs. It has several characteristics:

The biggest feature is that it minimizes the amount of on-site engineering and equipment debugging, making the process of applying smart water services more convenient for customers.It adopts the operator's dedicated M2M chip, communicates through the operator's private network, the private network transmission is reliable, and the data confidentiality is strong. At the same time, the product includes the communication fee within the same period of life, and there is no need to apply for SIM separately and pay the traffic fee.

Customers can define the frequency of meter reading and data upload through the background to meet the needs of different water services.


There are three types of IoT collection solutions:

1. IoT water meter

According to the on-site arrangement environment, it can be divided into integrated IoT water meter and split IoT water meter.

The integrated IoT water meter is easy to install and use. Users can install and use it like an ordinary water meter without any on-site engineering. It is suitable for installation above the ground where the mobile phone signal is better. It can be used for new residential areas and old renovated residential areas; it is especially suitable for the environment where the water meters are relatively scattered, such as the renovation of old residential areas, villa areas, greening meters, and expressway meters.

The split type IoT water meter is for the water meter installed below the ground or in a closed space where the water meter is installed, and the signal is not good. Through the split type installation, the communication components are moved above the ground or where there is a signal, so that there is no need to change the water meter installation. location to resolve signal problems. The more common application environments are large-diameter water meters and green water meters.

Both products are powered by batteries and have a service life of 6 years. Customers can check the frequency of meter reading and data upload frequency on the background device according to their needs. At present, the two products use GPRS communication for uplink, and they can be switched to NB-IOT communication after the subsequent NB-IOT network setup is completed.

2. IoT meter well collection scheme

Using an IoT acquisition device to connect the water meters of a meter well through the bus to complete the data acquisition and communication control functions of the water meter. This scheme minimizes the amount of on-site engineering and can be used for new residential areas, but it is more suitable for the transformation of various old residential areas, eliminating most of the wiring engineering and reducing costs.

The IoT meter well collection solution mainly solves two problems:

The surface well is sealed and the signal in the well is not good. The signal problem can be solved by installing the equipment outside the surface well. Compared with single-table IoT products, the cost is lower, and it is more suitable for large-scale promotion of concentrated real estate. At present, the upstream of the product adopts GPRS communication, and the subsequent NB-IOT network can be switched to NB-IOT communication after the completion of the construction.

3. Unit acquisition scheme

An Internet of Things acquisition device is used to connect the water meters of a unit or a building through a bus to complete the data acquisition and communication control functions of the water meter. It is suitable for new residential areas, with pipeline wells as units, taking into account the cost and engineering volume to the greatest extent, and it is recommended not to construct across units as much as possible.

At present, the upstream of the product adopts GPRS communication, and the subsequent NB-IOT network can be switched to NB-IOT communication after the completion of the construction.
