Because, the water meter will be billed positively regardless of whether the water in the water pipe is flowing forward or backward! ! ! !
At this time, if there is no water leakage in the home, the water meter is still running, there are three reasons:
First, the water pressure in the pipeline is unstable and the water flows backwards, which will cause the rotation of the water meter.
Second, because the pressure of the pipeline is relatively large, there will be pressurized air, which will also increase the water consumption.
Third, due to the pulsating change of water pressure, the water flow fluctuates back and forth, and the water meter only rotates forward but not reverse, which is the reason for the increase in water consumption.
To solve this problem, let's first understand several water meters:
1. Digital water meters Common digital water meters are the same as the old-fashioned electricity meters, which are composed of a word wheel and a pointer. The numbers displayed on the water meter represent the water consumption. There are 3 red pointers below, and the readings are clearly 10,000 digits, Thousands, hundreds, tens, and ones, if the one is displayed as 1, we can directly look at the number of the red pointer, that is, the water consumption is 1 ton.
2. Pointer water meter This is a pure pointer without any digital reading. There are 4 black pointers and 4 red pointers in the water meter. When this type of water meter is used, the number on the red pointer is irrelevant. Look at the reading of the black pointer That's it, the pointer readings are ×1000 (thousands), ×100 (hundreds), ×10 (tens), ×1 (ones).
3. Smart water meter
The solution is also very simple :
3.1. Exhaust air: change the triangle valve or faucet, then open the main valve, and then drain all the faucets in the house, so that the air in the water pipe can be emptied.
3.2. Install check valve: Especially for high-level users who have secondary pressurized water supply, when someone uses water, the water pressure of the pipeline drops, and the water meter will reverse. Therefore, a check valve must be installed: that is, a check valve is installed at the back end of the water meter, which can well solve the situation that the back end of the water meter is caused by the reduction of water pressure and the backflow of water.
